Our History

The present school was established under its old name, Raymond Vidya Niketan, on 1st July 1981 in two rooms of ‘D’ Type quarters in the colony.

Within two years, a new building was constructed for the school and was opened in 1984. The first Principal of the school was Mr. V.K. Hermit.

The school began with just four rooms and has grown significantly over the years. Today, it has nearly 70 rooms and provides a wide range of facilities for its students.

The school received its CBSE affiliation on 1st May 1986 under the name Shri Kailashpat Singhania Hr. Sec. School. Following this affiliation, the school expanded into a large institution equipped with modern facilities.

In recent years, the school has emerged as one of the prominent schools in Chhattisgarh, with a strong academic record and a commitment to excellence in education.

Our Motto:
“तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमये”
Lead me from darkness to light.

The school follows its motto in letter and spirit and has contributed to the nation by nurturing technocrats, medicos, soldiers, workers and professionals of remarkable merit, integrity and calibre.

Following the takeover of Arasmeta Cement Plant by NUVOCO Vistas Corporation, the school’s name was changed to NUVOCO PUBLIC SCHOOL.

With its rich legacy, strong values and commitment to excellence, the school continues to move forward with the same grit and determination that it has demonstrated throughout its journey.
